Getting Started with Gigantiq
Everything you need for your first day on a Gigantiq project: onboarding, tools, time tracking, and access.
This guide helps you prepare for Day 1, covering onboarding documentation, timesheet setup, and access to necessary tools.
1. Onboarding Document
Your onboarding document is your primary source of information at the start of the project. It includes:
- Project instructions and order of operations
- Team contacts and escalation points
- Email usage guidelines (contractor vs personal)
How to Access Your Onboarding Document
- Go to Contracts in your Gigantiq Dashboard.
- Click on your active contract.
- The onboarding document will appear below your contract details once ready.
Note
If your onboarding document isn’t visible yet, it’s still being prepared by your project team.
In the meantime:
- Complete your profile setup
- Verify payment details
- Finish any pending checks
You’ll receive onboarding instructions within 7 days.
2. Setting Up Time Tracking
Gigantiq uses Timesheets for accurate billing and project tracking.
Steps:
- Navigate to Timesheets in your dashboard.
- Select your project and start logging hours.
- Use Play / Stop to track active work sessions.
- Review daily logs and correct errors promptly.
Warning
Only log time while actively working (tasks, meetings, mandatory training).
Manual adjustments require justification and approval.
3. Accessing Project Tools
Ensure you have access to all required tools to avoid delays: Discuss this with your project manager in the onboarding session.
4. Project Paused
Sometimes projects are temporarily suspended. This means:
- You remain in the project pool.
- Weekly cap is set to 0 hours.
- No new work is assigned during the pause.
What You Should Do:
- Submit all hours before the pause starts.
- Keep payment details updated for pending payouts.
- Monitor email and Slack for updates.
Note
Paused ≠ Removed. You’ll be notified if the project resumes or new opportunities arise.
